Let’s engage, connect and elevate the middedorp for all.
Through collaboration, creativity, and effective implementation, Siti will create a safe, clean, caring, and vibrant environment in the area known as the "middedorp" for all that work, visit, live, and study here.
OUR MISION
We aim to create a neighbourhood that fosters investment, encourages business growth, nurtures a safe and caring community, and facilitate creative ways of addressing pressing and challenging social issues.
FUNDING
Funded by a small levy on municipal rates by property owners in the area, Siti will support and manage a number of public realm services, including enhanced security, urban management, social development, and promote Stellenbosch as the leading visitor destination and cultural heart of the Winelands.
FOCUS AREAS AND OBJECTIVES
SAFETY & SECURITY
Improve town safety, reduce crime and enhance the overall curb appeal to support existing businesses and attract new investments and residents to stimulate inclusive economic growth.
URBAN MANAGEMENT
Ensure clean streets, sidewalks, and public spaces to maintain an inviting area for residents and visitors through sustainable development practices and environmental awareness that improve traffic flow and promote a pedestrian culture.
SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Drive social initiatives and programs that address homelessness and poverty in a holistic manner. Foster community engagement to create a safe and welcoming environment for all residents and visitors by promoting diversity, inclusiveness and innovation.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Act as the voice of central Stellenbosch. Champion our businesses, people, and places through marketing efforts and events, showcasing the area as one of the most iconic and authentic destinations in South Africa where people work, live, play and visit.
